Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, these ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Hey guys,

I have looked at fixing the restricted forum hack but it ain't easy ;) So no result yet. Having seen that Kunena has a stable J!1.5 version, I am inclined to go that way. Any reason not to adapt it to the native 1.5 version?

Just like all of you, I also need it, so can't upgrade either

FYI - We are not ignoring this. Its on top of our list.

With the introduction of ACL in Joomla 1.6 this will change the ability for us to use native Joomal user groups for a lot of special permissions and private forums.

Rather than coming up with our own solution we are targeting to leverage the new Joomla ACL to make all of that happen, natively, without the need for yet another user group management layer.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

I couldn't wait for 1.6, I added extra ACL Groups and ACL Maps... Kunena inherits these groups without any modification.

see pictures below.

Joomla 1.5.11 User Manager.

Kunena 1.0.10 and 1.5.3 both inherit the groups.

Is it as easy as it sounds? What tables did you modify? Does it affect anything elese? Could you give a screenshot of new tables? Thank you.
