Kunena 6.4.9 & Kunena 7.0.1 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.9 [K 6.4.9] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4

This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

Hey there everyone, I finally got tired of waiting for JomSocial and Kunena to play nice and make their profiles truly integrate so I took the time to do it myself.

What I have done is made a hack to allow you to update your Kunena profile info within your JomSocial profile. The fields that are in JomSocial by default (gender, birthdate, websiteurl) are automatically carried over to your Kunena profile without requiring you to change them on a separate page.

This means that you can finally edit the info that appears below your avatar on Kunena forums and your signature without editing two separate profiles.


The latest version of my hack is always applied to my website www.ColdSystems.net and you may create a free account and try it out before paying for a subscription.

Updated to Version 2.1 for Kunena 1.6.1

While working on another problem I noticed that Kunena removed all the icons from 1.5.X that used to be displayed on the forums when they released version 1.6.

2.1 Only adds a file and instructions to include ALL profile icons (Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc.) to be displayed below your avatar on the forums. Screenshots are available on my website.

Hi, I downloaded and followed all instructions but still not seeing the integration happening.
I have Joomla 1.5.22, Kunena 1.6.1, and JS 2.02 (this might be the reason).
Any chance you could have a look?
I can't afford much but would be willing to pay.
