I've split this topic - let's keep the discussions focused, please, one subject per topic; it helps other people looking for the answer.

I've lost the Kunena horizontal menu bar. Regenerating by clicking on "Create menu" button now adds "Forum" as the first item on my site's main menu, where it is not supposed to be.

Where would you like the "Forum" link to be?

Hi

After upgrading to 1.6 my forum has no topmenu...?
I found out that it is now a separate module and menu in Joomla (how clever - good idea!!) - but even though everything seems to be enabled, I have no topmenu...

Any idea what I'm missing...?

We are working on improving the menu detection code for the next 1.6 release.

Can you post a screen shot of how your Forum menu entry has been setup?

If possible you would want it as a Menu Alias to the Kunena Menu.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

Not quite sure what you mean by "how your Forum menu entry has been setup"...?

But I've attached two screenshots - one of the Kunena Menu (the kunena top menu) and one of my regular menus link to the Kunena Forum.

Kunena Menu:

Regular menus link to Kunena:

Does this help in any way...?

Hi all,

Sorry for going offtopic, thanks to Sozzle for splitting the thread, which I have only seen just now.

At the moment, my Kunena menu is acting weird.

When one clicks on ../forum, the menu isn't visible, nor does it appear when browsing the category index.

Only after clicking on my profile does it suddenly appear, and then it remains visible.

I'd be happy to post a screen shot, but I am not sure what you mean by "forum menu entry".

Thanks.

Weee!! I found the problem!!

It turns out that the item in my main menu linking to the forum, was linking to the page "Forum" (in the Kunena menu). If I set it to link to "Index", the menu appears!
