So sorry to come back on this because I know its being discussed so many times before but I can't seem to shake my problem. I have checked and their doesn't appear to be any other menu item using "forum" as an alias. I have deleted the kunena menu, resinstalled Kunena (twice) all to no avail. I have also used a.htaccess file from a J1.5.22 installation and it hasn't worked. I am using SH404SEF and if i switch it off the redirection goes away..Is there anything else I could try?

Thanks in advance...

sh404SEF might be the problem (I wouldn't know and I wouldn't recommend the product to anyone) but the problem is almost certainly SEO-related.

The problem may be related to an unreliable .htaccess file just as easily as it may be related to having multiple menu items that point to Kunena - and those are things that you need to take care of properly.

Your K 1.6 configuration report may provide us with some answers.

Your configuration report shows that you have not properly configured your Kunena menu. Please see [Merged topic] How do I restore my Kunena menu? . The answer is in there!

On the other hand, I visited your website and I cannot find your forum anywhere. It looks like you have removed it. Is that right?

The forum is installed, the forum link is 'special' so visitors don't go clicking on it. My fear is that I've recreated the menu links so many times, now it may be broken because the Kunena Menu link is not listing any items. Anyway.. I had deleted the Kunena Menu and that seemed to work (but without the links.. help, search etc)

I will go through the link you sent and plod on. I'm desperate to get it working.. can't eat.. can't sleep.. :)
