Merged "This webpage has a redirect loop"

Actually there's an easier way:

check that you do not have menu items with the same alias. It looks like Joomla 1.5 is buggy/inconsistent if you have more than one menu item using /forum or anything else.

I use J1.5.22 and K1.6.3

When I use SEO from joomla all is working well.
Only the forum, the links in the top level categories work, deeper down I got the url like index.php/forum/Letterboxing. and the message" Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

I deleted all links in the menu except the one to the index of the forum and X-map generated links. deleted cache on the server and browser.

Still all components works fine except Kunena

seo on joomla:
SEO Settings
Search Engine Friendly URLs Yes
Use Apache mod_rewrite No
Add suffix to URLs No

seo on kunena all no

Who can help me?

i am getting an error when i turn on the sef url's inside the joomla config. everything else works and the .htaccess file is renamed. also mod_rewrite is enabled.

if you try clicking into a category the browser falls into a infinite loop and stops. please advise with a solution...

I had the same problem, in my case I had two menus with the same alias directing to the forum frontpage and when I changed the other one it worked.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/labdefam/public_html/labde/components/com_joomgallery/helpers/html/joomgallery.php on line 1019
