Hi, I just installed 1.6.3 (new installation) and while the control panel opens fine, nothing will open on the front end. The browser simply sits and shows the progress bar slowly moving to the right. When it gets all the way over, it does nothing.

No idea what the problem might be.

Hi!

Problem: Enabling joomlas SEO urls will make categories and post links produce this problem. (Redirecting problem?)
Disabling joomlas SEO urls will make the forum act like it should, but this is not desireable.

I've been reading up on SEO and Kunena, it seems my settings are correct unless I missed something. My joomla-settings:
* Search Engine Friendly URLs: Yes
* Use Apache mod_rewrite: Yes
* Add suffix to URLs: No.
htaccess.txt is joomlas unmodified version, and is renamed .htaccess.

I'm not sure where to look from here on, any hints would be much appreciated!

In advance, thanks!

In this case, the issue is probably not whether you have correctly set up Joomla SEO - from what you have written you have gone about it the right way - but whether you have set up your Joomla menu the right way.

According to you K 1.6 configuration report, you have at least 3 menu items pointing to your forum in different ways. This is a case of trashing, deleting all of your Kunena menus and and using the Create Menu feature set things up again. The process has been mentioned before several times in this topic.
