blank pages are never very useful. id you try turning on error reporting in the Joomla backend? You'll probably get a better idea of what's failing.

404 errors are normally caused because your Joomla menu is messed up (or you haven't implemented Joomlas SEO properly).

You've probably got two menu items for Kunena and they're conflicting with one another. Please post your K 1.6 configuration report and we may be able to help you better.

Had the issue with too many redir. Did this:

Trash every menu that has anything to do with your forum (all menu items that have anything to do with your forum). Then, permanently delete everything in your menu trash. After that, go to the Kunena control panel and use the Create Menu function. That's it; do nothing else. Now check to see if you can now access your Kunena forum from your front end. Don't try to do anything else fancy, please report back if this works. If it doesn't work then there are other possibilities, but let's try the "default approach" first.

I had not noticed that the FORUM item had been added to my main menu, so I made a new one myself. That one did not work without the redir error. When I deleted mine and cleared menu trash, the original forum item worked peachy.

Are you getting 404 from Joomla or your server? If later, you have probably removed index.php from your SEF (setting in Joomla) but you haven't renamed file called htaccess.txt into .htaccess)
