Joomla 6 support? was created by ruud
I'm currently refactoring my own extensions to run on Joomla 6 (without the B/C plugin). Most work is code reviewing and replacing deprecated code. Still a lot of work.
Was wondering what the plans for Kunena are when it comes to J6?
This is code wise a big project so refactoring is potentially a lot of work.
After the holidays I can make time available to work on this, but it would be good to at least have a planned approach on what needs to be done and who can do it.
Is this already on the radar?
regards,
Ruud.

Good to know.
One thing I ran in to in one of my own kunena plugins was that when these are refactored using the subscriberinterface then the functions expect events that are then handled and set as result.
So was able to do that and the plugin works again with K6.4
but on the kunena side itself the way events are triggered are not up to par and need to be refactored.
Not sure if they still work with J6, or work but require the BC plugin.
But that is something to think about: will Kunena have its own events and if so, this will impact all plugin listening to these events (so also third party plugins).

Hello,
For now, i have tried to install the last build of Kunena 6.5 on Joomla! 6.0 alpha3-Dev with plugin compat6 disabled by default. During the install of Kunena i have a white page but Kunena is right installed. I can't access the control panel, configuration of Kunena i have too a white page. By enabled the compat6 plugin, i can access the control panel, configuration of Kunena.
The php log doesn't have errors corresponding at the times when i have the white pages.
