Thank you very much for all this information! I want to pass this information along to the project team. Basically, we're looking at two possible causes for the performance problems. One of the possible causes has to do with the number of categories and the Kunena configuration settings that you've used. Another possibility (that we haven't looked into) is the hosting platform and/or configuration that you're using.
Let me pass the data you have just posted to the project team for their consideration.

I'm currently using blue host. My configurations are only barley changed from the default which in the first tab (general) can be seen here:
By the way with the category deal, I didn't manually insert them all over again, I just copied the sql data from my original (although on my main site I did manually create them all). So very few things are touched on the kunena.
My theory is that it might have to do with the .htaccess file, should I send you a copy of it?

OK thank you. Do you know any professionals who could help me fix this? I have no experience with this level of things and don't have the time to dive in and learn about php and search engines and all. However I do need a forum solution for my website, but now I'm not sure what to do. I just installed my forums but now I won't be able to launch them until this is fixed. I could use some help if there is someone out there who I could hire.

Do you mean, your problem is that you want to know where you hire someone to repair your website? Is that your problem?vladc wrote: I have the same problem

Ha ha! I found out what it was! So far I don't have a solution but at least I figured out the problem. It has nothing to do with my hosts nor my configurations nor any conflicting scripts!
The problem this whole time was the number of categories! I did many tests to make 100% sure of this, I got rid of every category on another test site which it loaded almost instantly with the same settings. Then added categories, slow loading. Then deleted the categories which it then loaded fast again. This is sad for me, I like having my categories. In total I have 282 which most of them are countries. If a solution can be found that would be great. Hey I'm learning some stuff along the way at least.
I suppose I could settle for a different hierarchy system of the forum display that way only a few show up on the index, but more on the inside, although this might not be possible.
Let me know if this is possible to have without super low speed.
