OK thanks for pointing me to this thread. I read it through and here's my situation:

I'm still having the redirect error:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

In terms of the things mentioned in the thread, I don't have any javascript issues as far as I know, I don't have mootools, I don't have a third party seo plugin, my joomla site is using the core joomla .htaccess file.

The only thing mentioned in any of the posts that could be a possible cause in my case is that I have a lot of redirects in my .htaccess file. I moved my site from wordpress to joomla so I had to create those.

How would I know if this is in fact the problem? If that is the problem, can I not use Kunena forums if I have the redirects? Is there a solution?

I just remembered that I think I first got the error message after I changed the default Kunena menu according to this method:

docs.kunena.org/index.php/Customised_men...nding_Page_in_Kunena

Using that method, I made the default Kunena menu point to the forum index.

Now, when I click on a category, this is the url it creates, which takes me to the error page:
wisdomangermanagement.com/forum/4-genera....html?defaultmenu=32

Does this at all help explain what might be causing the problem?

I have been trying to figure out how to put it back as it was originally but haven't had any luck yet...

I finally figured this out. As I mentioned in my last entry, the problem did indeed stem from my changing the menu type for my forums menu item. I changed it from being a menulink alias, which is what it was originally, to a kunena menu entry page, with "Index" as the default menu item. After I did that the problem described in this thread started.

I switched it back to be a menulink alias and now all is well. :) :) :)
