Merged "This webpage has a redirect loop"

I've got ABSOLUTELY the same issue on my Joomla & Kunena new install.
I've sent acc.details to sozzled.
Please, I need assistance or provide the resolution in this topic.

This is the permanent solution.

The reason that the problem exists, in the first place, is that the Kunena installation procedure is unable to deal with the thousands of different configuration possibilities that people have chosen. We are very pleased to see users helping other users with their problems. It makes our job all the more easier.

So...any ideas?

Im at a loss to help you, I switched to phpBB.

Many people have solved these problems (and they've done it with a lot less difficulty than using a non-Joomla approach like phpBB).

The causes of the redirect loop issue are:

(1) legacy menu items from K 1.5
(2) menu item with no itemid
(3) the wrong itemid (this would not be generated by the Kunena component)
(4) some peculiar issues involving third-party SEF software
(5) customised .htaccess
