Maybe there is some misunderstanding due to the language, but I haven't changed anything besides updating when an update has been released.
And now it doesn't show who clicks on "Thank you".
I assume it has always been at 0 since I haven't changed anything there.
Is 0 = infinity or should I set it to, for example, 10,000 ?
I simply don't understand why the name isn't shown if it's not an error

But thanks

Hello,

Kunena is not using the old Joomla! classes starting with a J and it has been tested to works on Joomla! 6.x with out the Joomla! compatibility plugin. Maybe a module or plugin wihich can cause this error

Do-you have Php 8.2.x ? because Kunena 6.4.8 not support previous Php versions

Replied by Pinkeltje on topic Sendermail problem
This has nothing to do with Kunena as Kunena uses Joomla mail settings.
The 5.7.1 SMTP status code is a delivery failure error that typically means "Delivery not authorized, message refused" or "Relay access denied".This error indicates that the receiving mail server is rejecting the emails.
You should verify your Joomla email configuration and work with your hosting provider to ensure proper email authentication is set up. The fact that it works for some users but not others suggests it's likely an authentication or reputation issue with specific email providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc. may have different policies).
You might want to ask simply.dk to help you verify that SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are properly configured for your domain, as these are server-level settings that affect email deliverability.
And/or test your mail through mailtester

Sendermail problem was created by Hifi2you
Hi.
I have a problem with some users not getting emails about new posts even though they have received it before. I myself get an email saying that those users have not been notified and the status code is 5.7.1.
I have spoken to Simply.dk and they say it is a problem with Kunena.
Hope it can be fixed.
Kind regards Thomas

Hello,

Sorry for the delay, i had looked into the problem of datepicker not displaying but i didn't found how to fix it

Hello xillibit, thanks for your answer! At the moment, the workaround is still available (insert date and time manually).

So the not working datepiker remain an open issue? Do you think that somebody can help us to understand which is the problem?

Consider also the after the update to latest Kunena version I have tested also the show more / see less toggle to see more/less users who have voted and it doesn't work.

If you press show more the first time it works but after you press see less, it removes the users but the show more link disappear until you refresh all the web page.

Many thanks!

At last, I have discovered that Kunena is being conflicted by Joomlashack's Shack Forms Pro 5.1.33, the excellent mail form extension. It only happens when the "Upload / Show upload" setting is set to "Yes". The software in Shack Forms Pro that processes uploaded/attached images at 96 pixels/inch is unfortunately doing this for uploaded images in Kunena forum as well, which is not wanted.

I have switched off the 'Show upload' setting and am awaiting a bug fix from Joomlashack. This conflict has been happening since Joomla 5.

Thanks to everybody for your help.

Hello, today I have updated Kunena Forum to the latest stable version (6.4.8) and I confirm that the datepiker in polls is still not available.

Did you find the bug?

After the update I have tested also the show more / see less toggle to see more/less users who have voted and it doesn't work.

If you press show more it works but after you press "see less" it removes the users but the show more link disappear until you refresh all the web page.

Thanks!

1. Thank you for discovering this CSS error. I have added it to our bug list.

2. I can't comment on your Kunena template as I don't even know which one it is. If it is one from 9themestore, it is likely that it will be adapted to K7.0 (as you have been informed).
But it is not possible to say exactly when Stable K7.0 will be released, but work is underway.

3. I can no longer find the donation button, so I will have to enquire about that.

@drbo It is very difficult (if not impossible) to help someone who does not accept advice. Your database tables still have the wrong collation, just like three months ago, and your main menu still contains the same incorrectly created Kunena menu items. As long as these errors cannot be corrected and excluded as error rates, there is little point in discussing further problems.

Processes not closing ? was created by KZQ
Recently my web sites are locking up for a reason that I've had some advice about but do not know how to resolve. The tech at my hosting company has cooked it down to:
"your issue is related to the coding and the website throwing warnings/errors as they are causing the processes it is creating to get stuck and not close."
The error log points to BBCode.php and gives a line number 2321
Code:
[20-Nov-2025 01:24:49 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $end_tag_params in /home/kzride5/public_html/libraries/kunena/External/Nbbc/src/BBCode.php on line 2321
I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one to encounter this issue.
I would appreciate any insights you may have.
TIA
Bill

First of all this is not Aurelia, but Kunena core configuration. The stretching occurs because of the wrong default values. Default Kunena hero-wide is 1120 x 630px. So if forced to Header Height 560 and Header Width 560 by configuration settings, it will be stretched. If set to width="560" height="315" it is ok.
I don't have thunderbird and can only test in gmail and outlook. So maybe you can test with Thunderbird before eventually creating feature request?
See attached photoshopped version of hero-wide with wrong dimensions.

Sorry, no more ideas. Either a problem with server configuration or a conflict with another extension. Unable to reproduce and the problem doesn't occur on this forum either. So it should be at your end.
Thank you. It must be a problem this end, as you said. The server config looks OK and it hasn't been changed. I don't know how to check for conflicts with other extensions, however, the Kunena debug, Jooma debug and Joomla error reports showed no issues. Do you have advice, please?

Is it possible to uninstall Kunena and reinstall it without losing the existing forums and images, or should I just reinstall Kunena over the top of the current installation?

Where would I find the file that actually does the image compression, is it part of the Kunena installation or part of Joomla?

Thank you,

Andy

Hi,
do you have any ideas for me? What can I check to understand why my users are not able to use their smartphone's emoticons to post on my kunena forum?

Thanks!
