Hi,
the function you need is a "Cetegory Subscription" and this is not possible to do with Kunena 1.5 you are using.
This function is added in a new Kunena 1.6 and users can subscribe to category and will be advised via email about any new post in Cat. where subsribed. If you site is new you can try to install our beta and use this facility or you can wait for stable release.
Thank you.

Thank you for the quick and helpful response. I'll try 1.6 - since this a new setup and I don't have to migrate an old forum, it should be an easy install.
Thanks again.

Hi Sozzled,
So, did you receive any notifications of new posts since yours? Looks like there have been several. I still have not received and notifications of Categories I subscribed to.
Thanks for looking into this.
Carl

Thank you for posting to this one category that I have subscribed to as the screenshot shows below:
No, I have not received any emails arising from this category subscription. I will ask if other people have reported similar issues in their tests, too.

Interesting - So, it looks like its working for some, but not for others. Wonder what is different that would cause this.
Our group has been waiting for this feature for a long time. 1/2 our group still uses a Yahoo list because it notifies you of new posts. Hope it can be figured out.
