Hi Sozzled,

I also tried with only the top option (Enable SEO) set to yes as stated in this threat.
That doens't work also. The only way to make it work is to disable SEO in Joomla, but that isn't what I want.

I use all options set to yes on the live site and there's no problem. ( www.natuurfocus.com/site )

I wrote the guide posted at the Wiki based on my own experiences. You say "Yes" to the first two options, and you say "No" to the third. You take the htaccess.txt file and you rename it as .htaccess - that's "dot"-htaccess. These things seem to work for an Apache web server.

I know how it works Sozzled. I appreciate your help, but maybe you have to read the whole thread. This has already been handled. A short summary of the whole thread.

1. I copied a running site ( www.natuurfocus.com/site ) with joomla 1.5.20 and the latest Kunena 1.5 with all SEO options set to yes. This site workes like a charm without any problems.
2. I upgraded Kunena to the latest beta1 built on my testsite with the copy I made ( www.natuurtest.nl/site ).
3. Now I can make a new post but I can't read what's in it. I also can't read any existing postings. I always return to the recent topics page.
4. When I disable Joomla SEO everything works like it should be. Kunena also works now.
5. When I Enable only SEO on Joomla and set the other 2 options to NO, the site works but Kunena has the same problem as 3.
6. I also changed the template of joomla to the default JA_Purity.

Yes, I read the thread, visited your website, saw the problem for myself first-hand. I was just making a suggestion that you might try to set Joomla SEO options 1 and 2 = yes, leave SEO option 3 = no.

It's very strange to me why you can't open existing threads from the Recent Topics list and we'd like to help you (because it helps the project). Could you please post your K 1.6 configuration report?

It might also be helpful if you could post a screenshot of the files listed in your site root folder, too, please.

Thank you. The collation method you have used for your Joomla/Kunena SQL tables seems to be a problem. Try changing the collation method to utf8_general_ci.

I would also like to see a listing of the files in the top-level directory of your website www.natuutest.nl (is this the "site" folder in your screenshot?)

Also try experimenting with the Kunena SEF settings, too - try different settings. Please reply with the results from your tests.
