tonylaird: The issue lies in the complexity that is known as the Joomla menuing system. You cannot have two menu items with the same alias name if you use Joomla SEO. It's as simple as that. One solution is to give each menu item a different menu alias; another solution is to correct the mistakes that people make when they try to create many different links to Kunena but use the same menu alias. It's a little difficult to explain but the topic is discussed in Customised menus . There is also a fix/workaround mentioned many times in this topic.

When I installed forum on my portal first time, it worked fine. I was so happy to get such a nice forum. But after few days, don't know what happened ? It was looping itself in a lot of redirects with a lot of index.php in url.
Please someone guide me on how to overcome this problem !

I"m having a problem when a new user try to login kunena gave me an error saying "The page isn't redirecting properly" I'm new using this system I just downloaded and made some test but everything was working fine except when a new user trying to create an account and get in to the forum, actually when registering as new user kunena redirecting me to joomla create account form? I don't see any problem with that thing is that after I create the account and try to login in kunena I cannot get in to the forum!! why? I'm using joomla 1.6 and the kunena I downloaded is the last version. Help!!

I solved the problem myself.
I copied the menu Forum from Kunena Forum Menu to Main menu
