Tested again and I think it is related to the number of topics in a category. For me it only works with categories with less than appr. 10 topics.

I can't confirm this for my forum. Even if the target category has only one topic, I cannot see this in the target.

But thanks anyway for your effort. I can live with this, I'll use my workaround then (copy as a new entry to the target category and then merge/rename)
19 Jan 2024 07:06

I cannot reproduce this error. When I select a different category, the corresponding topics are displayed immediately. What happens if you wait a while after selecting another category before selecting the target topics?
I tested this yesterday, changed the category and waited for ~ 3 minutes. But the topic list did not change :(

It works for me as well as long as I perform the action in the same section.
I tested this too. I have three main sections in my forum with severe categories in each section. But even if I choose a categoriy in the same section the topic list does not change.

As I wrote above: I have created a copy of my site before I did the big upgrade of Joomla (from J3 to J5) and Kunena (from K5 to K6). The copy still works fine, as soon as I choose a new category (inside the same section or from a different section), the list of topics changes immediately. But now with all updates installed it does not work anymore.

I also tested with the default templates for the site and Kunena, but this also did not change anything.

I think I've found a new bug. I try to move a message into a thread of an other category. So I push the "Moderate" button in this message and hit the "Move options" tab. Now when I choose an other "target category", the "Target Topic" scroll-down menu still shows the topics from the old category. So I have to move the topic with a temporary name to the new category first and then I have to moderate again to attach this message to teh right topic.

The same happens when I try to move a whole topic to another category. I tried the same with a copy of my forum which still runs under K5.2.14. As soon as I choose another category, the "Target Topic" dropdown menü shows the topuics in this category.

Hope I decsribed this good enough :)

WTF ?!?

I installed the K6.2.3 update last thursday, plz see the config report below. But right now I visited the Kunena dashboard and it brought up a message, that the Kunena database was updated to version 6.2.3! Could it be that the database is not getting updated immediately when you install the update, but when you visit the Kunena dashboard?

What I can say is that the Karma now works without a flaw.

Thanks a lot for your kind support!

Hi all,
I've tried around quite a lot, but for some weird reason, kunena (6.2.2) e-mail notifications on my website (Joomla 4.4.2) are not sent.

Can anyone help me with this problem? Is there maybe a way to check if kunena tries to send the e-mails and any errors occur? (System e-mails and e-mails from other components are delivered without a problem)

All kunena diagnosis tests seem to be completed successfully.

Please find the report attached below.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards
Robert

I get some Cross origin errors when I try to edit any post on the forum?

The problem also mix up the URL, loosing the Joomla multilanguage menu code from:

to (when in edition)

Errors in the Console:

I have noticed these differences in my forum in three out of eight sections.
It could be because a longer text was entered in the category description for one category and therefore the display of all categories in this section was moved slightly forward.
But that is just a guess.

I need your help. Today I saw that the Kunena profile tabs are not working. I can see all the tabs ("Posts", "Subscriptions", "Favorites"and so on...) and they get highlighted when I click on them, but nothing else happens, the tab itself does not open. If I try to edit the profile, the tabs here don't work either.

It does not matter which Joomla template (Cassiopeia or JA Puity) or Kunena template (Aurelia or NTS KBee) is installed. I don't know since when the tabs stopped working.

I have a nearly identical stage-site on the same server with (nearly) the same settings, and the tabs are working here. Need some support to find out whats wrong here.

I've updated my site from J3 to J5 and Kunena from 4 to 5. Everything is fine so far, but in some situations the Kunena menu disappears, e.g.during or after writing a post.

Karma/Profile issues was created by Ratman
Good day everyone.

I migrated my site from Joomla 3 and Kunena 5 to Joomla 4.4.1 and Kunena 6.2.2. Also updated all server components and switched to PHP 8.1.26. I uninstalled Kunena before the upgrade of Joomla and installed the new version after the upgrade. Everything is working fine so far, but there are some issues with the profilebox and the Karma. When I click on the Plus-Button to raise the Karma of a user, both a succes message and an error message appear and the Karma stays on the same value as before:
Any hint where to fix this?

Also I see in the profile box two buttons named "Weniger" and "Mehr" (less and more in english), that both do the same. Regardless which button I click, both collapse and expand the information in the profilebox. Is this intentional?

Here's th e config report:

Unfortunately, I cannot recognise with the browser tool where the long loading times come from, as no information is transmitted during loading.
I have noticed the following loading times:
Index ca 0.04 sec
Recent Topics ca 5 sec
Profiles up to 20 sec
But the longest loading time is for your main page Home (50 sec).

Hi. the feature Show New posts is enabled,

Recent Posts is a Kunena menu item that displays the same list as in your profile.
But I think you mean the Kunena Latest module. Does this need to be displayed on the forum pages? It shows the same results that are displayed with the Kunena Recent Topics menu item.
Go to this module and remove the assignment to the Kunena menu items so that it is only displayed in Home. Then test your forum again.

Thank you for the info... Even if I turn off all the latest posts modules, the forum still take between 5-9 seconds for a forum page to load, when the feature Show New posts is enabled.
Issue is still there.
When it is turned off, the entire site is flying.

Hi all. I have searched far and wide, but I could only see performance speed related issues on Kunena from 3+ years ago.

Background. Very old site, running since Joomla 2, recently upgraded from 3 to 4 to have Joomla 5 now with the latest version of Kunena. A glaring issue is that the site is blazing fast when you are accessing it not logged in, but once you login, it slows down every forum page, or page with a forum module (latest topics/posts), by 6 seconds. The difference is nuts, and driving me bonkers.

1. I have tested on another server. Same issue
2. I have tested with another template
3. I have tested other pages (when logged in) and they are fast, besides Kunena related ones
4. I have tested the forum when not logged in, and its fast (less than a second page load)
5. Have run diagnostics - besides 2 Orphaned attachments No issues found!
