SEO may or may not be involved with login problems - in my experience, SEO accounts for around 90% of such problems - and that's your choice to investigate this as a cause or not.

I recommend that you try with the standard Blue Eagle template designed for K 1.6.4. If that cures the problem then please discuss the issue with the author of the Kunena template that you are using.
I also recommend that you read K 1.6 Technical Requirements and, particularly, upgrade Community Builder ...
... and, while you're doing these things, upgrade Kunena Latest, too.

Do you have a test account we can use? When I visited your forum you were still using the Aphotic template designed for K 1.6.0.
The K 1.6 Technical Requirements contains general information about K 1.6. More specific information about K 1.6.4 is contained in the release notes: docs.kunena.org/index.php/Kunena_1.6.4_R...ponents_requirements ... maybe I should have made that clearer.
If we have a test account maybe we can see the login redirection problems for ourselves. Have you looked at the mod_cblogin parameters? Maybe a screenshot of your Community Builder login parameters would help?
What are the values of the Global Configuration settings that I have illustrated below?
There is also a known defect in J! 1.5.23 that causes browser pages to not properly refresh when you navigate to pages that you have already visited before. This is another possible cause of things not working (see code.joomla.org/gf/project/joomla/tracke...racker_item_id=25690 )
I am almost 100% certain that this "login issue" - that started 2 months ago - is not something that is caused by Kunena. Why am I so certain? Because Kunena does not have a login module within the basic installation package. Kunena simply uses whatever other, Joomla or third-party extension, login form that you've installed ... but I could be wrong and we need to eliminate all possible doubt.
