Login Problem was created by UdoZ
Hi,

i'm using Kunena with Community Builder (both the newest versions) on Joomla 1.5. Forum integrations are set properly; SEF/SEO in use.

Problem:
The user login through Kunena only works if the forum is opened via Index or Recent Topics.
It does not work if a logged out user is redirected to the Kunena login form after hitting Reply oder Quote to post a reply.

Any ideas?

Udo

Fireboard 1.6.4 doesn't exit and this has never existed in fireboard

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I am sorry that no-one has replied to UdoZ's question asked two months ago. Either UdoZ has fixed the problem or has decided that it was not that important. However someone might have been able to answer the problem better if UdoZ had read the posting guidelines printed at the top of this page and provided us with his/her K 1.6 configuration report.

Setting up SEO is not only a matter of clicking two radio buttons in the Global Configuration panel. That's the easy part. Setting up Joomla SEO also means that you have to have a working .htaccess file, too. The Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) guide in the Wiki explains what you need to do.

Before anyone can attempt to diagnose and recommend a solution in either of the two cases reported in this topic, we need to see the K 1.6 configuration report. If people don't want to provide their report, that's fine ... but we also may not be able to give you much help, either.

SEO may or may not be involved with login problems - in my experience, SEO accounts for around 90% of such problems - and that's your choice to investigate this as a cause or not.

[strike]In the meantime I have no other advice that I can offer you without seeing your configuration. Sorry.[/strike] Apologies: the configuration was there; it was hidden from plain sight.

I recommend that you try with the standard Blue Eagle template designed for K 1.6.4. If that cures the problem then please discuss the issue with the author of the Kunena template that you are using.

I also recommend that you read K 1.6 Technical Requirements and, particularly, upgrade Community Builder ...

... and, while you're doing these things, upgrade Kunena Latest, too.
