Hmm.. Is this true? I thought that Joomla didn't include child groups into access levels (our ACL code has been modified from Joomla 1.6 code as it didn't provide us the functions we needed).
Looks like the implementation in Joomla has changed since that. I need to check it.

Hi,
I discovered that enter to administrator/index.php?option=com_community&view=activities
gives me a blank page, probably that's the error coming from?
best regards,
Carla

This ACL in Kunena has given me nothing but trouble. Now I had fixed the problem with the Jomsocial activity stream but the result was that all my Kunena categories dissapeard for my registered members. So I changed back to access level public for my Kunena categories and choosed that all of my Joomla user group should be included in the Joomla access level public.
Now everybody can see the Kunena categories but new threads isn“t being posted to the Jomsocial activity stream.

Joomla 1.7 ACL has been written mostly for K1.7.0 and it surely has some flaws in it (Joomla doesn't currently provide API for the things we need to do). We are also learning new from Joomla! 1.7 every day, which means that the new platform is still new to all of us (other components have major issues, too).
I think that the basic Kunena ACL itself works pretty well, but it's not using all the Joomla! 1.7 features, it's not documented, in some places it may still be illogical and it still has some bugs in it (especially when trying to map user groups into guests/registered/special as JomSocial isn't using ACL at all).
