Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.
This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.
The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Thanks a ton Castrop!
I assure you that my progress towards the CB Template is no way altered by anyones purchase of the CB Selection Plugin but your purchase is greatly appreciated! What your purchase does is help ensure Lifetime support of the product and future improvments. So THANK YOU a TON!
Like with most products we encourage people that like them to Rate them and spread the word. What that will do is help the project and bring new ideas to it. As with most things they all start with an idea and the best part of purchasing a product from us is your voice will be heard and the features you want will come with time. So if you have a request, need or want please let us know so we can improve our product for you and for the community.
I am hopeing to finalize details about the template with my partner and will release the first File set to them today. Bare with me a bit long folks.. its coming!
Thanks,
James

That's a beautiful job on your CB template. I'll be interested in knowing when it's finished.

Thanks!
I had to take a new approach on some things such as the Accordion I had built to replace the tabs, its going to take a little bit more code to work properly so I am working on that more recently. So in the next hours, days some of the Div W/Title may disappear and be moved into tabs temporarily until I can execute the new code.
Thanks,
James

I'm just launching my social site so I'm having a hard time choosing CB or Jomsocial. I have both. Started with JomSocial but had issues with it.
The problem is, BOTH have issues. The biggest issue for CB at the moment is "the wall", which I feel is essential. I have the Profilebook trio that includes GuestBook, Blog and Wall. These are simple/simplistic but effective and my users can handle simple a whole lot better anyway. But... the editor is so terrible that it makes these 3 unusable. The text doesn't appear in the window until I've finished typing and removed my mouse cursor from the text area. And I can't replace the editor, not without hacking it anyway. I installed two other text editors and made them default, but it didn't help Profilebooks's Wall or Blog.
I checked out CB Buzzboard2, but when I tried to enter a comment, the popup box for doing that hid in the upper left corner and I couldn't get it out of the attic to enter anything. And I want to inflict THIS on my users? Not.
I think CB has a future if developers like James and other developers (such as the Axxis Activity Modules) continue to keep it modern. CB looks old-fashioned. And it really needs the new social networking features that are so popular. I've done what I could with the template, and I'm actually very pleased with what I did, but I can only do so much and Jomsocial still looks better. Somebody who is good with templates has an opportunity here, I think....
I've been debating with myself if I should try to make a template for Jomsocial's profile Page: it has problems as well. There's no tabs: all the apps are listed one after the other on the profile page, so the page gets longer and longer and longer... In fact, I didn't even know all that stuff was down there, I couldn't FIND it, and I'm not the only one who had that problem! Where in the world did my new plugin's GO? When I finally found them I was disgusted.
Another problem with Jomsocial is the photos. If I upload, I'm logged out. Every time. And there's no limits on photos or albums. I can't have that. I installed SimGallery but it has limited integration at this point, and the LOGGED OUT problem happens with Sim Gallery too. This does not make a good impression on users, not at all.
If CB had a decent Wall, that would swing it for me. All the photos apps work perfectly in CB, whereas JomSocial has big problems in that area. I do pay for stuff if I can get what I need, because I'm aiming for a professional site, not an amateur jerry-rigged almost-made-it kind of system. And I can't seem to do that with either Jomsocial or CB so far. I'm kinda upset at the moment because I wanted to get my site launched a week ago already.
