It should be guest.

I have found it. Guest is not in the group list.

This is what is shows:

New User Registration Group -> Registered
Guest User Group -> Public
New user Account Activation -> Self

Yeah, sorry, it should be Registered.

I don't know, why all users are admins.
Maybe you can have a look in the Back-End in the user overview. What group are your isers in in the joomla user overview?

I do not think there is a problem with my Joomla security. Everywhere else on the site the security is correct. I have places defined where you need special access to gain that part of the site and that seems to be working correctly.

The problem seems to be directed only at the Kunena forum. Anytime a new user is registered they automatically get admin privileges on the forum.

Where are the Kunena admin privileges assigned?

I believe that I have this problem solved...

I noticed in Global Configuration - Permissions - Public I had the "SuperAdmin" setting to "Allowed" I then changed this to "No Set".

Everything in the forum seems to be working correctly.

Does anyone know if changing this setting would cause any issues with Joomla?

*** Topics merged ***

The reason why all your users have administrator privileges is because, at some point, you changed the default Joomla ACL settings. Sorry, that's the only conclusion we can draw from these experiences that have been reported to us.
