Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

The Jomsocial log in problem is a well known one on their website, not connected I think.

I don't know. There has been a spate of issues recently concerning JomSocial 1.6 (I don't know anything about JomSocial - I don't use it) which may have a bearing on your case. I'm also not familiar with the version of JomSocial installed on this website. I suggest that you test your site without potential external influences and add one new element at a time until we discover the cause.

Although I have witnessed this problem on my site in the past and just as recent as maybe 2 weeks ago, I think it is something very easy to fix which I may just have done that accidentally. I have not had it happen since about 2 weeks ago and I do know that I removed a few modules and plugins from my site only because I was not using them anymore.

I wish I had payed more attention to it when I was having that problem, then maybe I could possibly help you out too. I am also certain your problem has to do with a certain extension that you have added to your site. Hopefully soon we can determine what is causing this.

I have Kunena installed on another website, without the problems I have on my current site. I have installed JomSocial on to that site, and have not replicated the problem.

However I have realised that my Quick Reply box is not working on my current site, but it is on my other one, and I am trying to fix that to see if it helps.
