OK. I'm sorry I misunderstood you. I wasn't clear on that point.

I hope you find the culprit and let us know.

I have tried to reproduce your symptoms on my own websites but I've been unsuccessful. We may need to obtain from you a test account at your website. The fault may also be browser-related in some way. There has to be a rational explanation for this erratic behaviour. :S

Thanks. I will try with a different browser. But there are two other users on this thread with the exact same problem, so maybe it's some kind of glitch.

I notice from another post that you wrote, Download: Profilebox to left side for Kunena 1.5.9 , that you encountered an error when you attempted to install a user-written hack for Kunena. The error you encountered was:

It was not possible to copy the selected file.
JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /var/www/vhosts/damsels.org/httpdocs/tmp/install_4ba0b7ba2c80b/site/class.kunena.php to /var/www/vhosts/damsels.org/httpdocs/components/com_kunena/class.kunena.php

Did you isolate the reason why you could not copy the selected file? Perhaps, for this reason, you have an incomplete or a corrupted version of Kunena and that is what is preventing the NEW! indicator from operating correctly?

Could be... maybe for the other people on this thread as well... I will try uninstalling and reinstalling Kunena.

Well, I have reinstalled Kunena and I can now install the "Profile box to left" module with no problem :) So thanks for that suggestion.

BUT the New Posts function still does not work properly.

So are you having the same problem as me, CheechDogg?

I have latest posts installed but what I really need is for the New! function to work properly.

You know damsella, I was actually having this problem and for some stupid reason I "did not" pay much attention to it when it was happening. I instead installed the latest kunena module and honestly "did not" pay much mind to it anymore. I know I have noticed this a couple of other times and as recent as 2 weeks ago.

Let me ask you a question, could the color of the font be the reason it doesn't display? I know I have done this before where I would edit the color of the font and that would prevent certain text from displaying properly.

Do you have an account we could use so we can check it out?
