Question " Errors while Installing 1.08

It looks like because of the safe mode, installation has failed on timeout. Kunena cannot be installed in 30 seconds in most of the environments because of unzip in Joomla! 1.5 installer is way too slow.

This is Joomla issue, not Kunena. You may try to install Kunena forum from URL instead of uploading the file. It may work..

.. or you can manually change timeout to 300 seconds, install Kunena and turn the timeout back to the default value..

But this the First Component with that Problem and i have Components like Virtuemart on with no Problems

Can you confirm, that you made these other changes to php. Somehow you need to get past the slow J1.5 installer. The install for Kunena will most certainly run longer than 30 sec - which is the default on many servers.

You can manually increase this to e.g. 300 sec, run the install and set it back to 30 sec.

ok i checked my settings in 'PHP info

php max_execution_time >= 60
php memory_limit 40M

so i cannot Kunena 1.08 with that settings is this right ???????????????????????

i installed now via tmp direction

thats not fine i remember fireboard -- a lot of problems

Did you read in German Childboard the tipp with Joomlabackup? With this solution, other user could install, notwithstanding timeout problem.
