Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Well, on goeth the saga...

After getting 1.0.8 to work fine, I went ahead and installed the new Object clarity discussbot. Guess what... same error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function check_dberror() in /home/mysite/public_html/components/com_kunena/class.kunena.php on line 99

So can someone tell me what changed from 1.0.7 to 1.0.8 that keeps bringing up that error in the addons?

Hi your install did not complete based on the info you gave above. mysql 4.1 is depreciated and not supported. It is listed in the tech requirements

docs.kunena.com/index.php/Technical_Requirements

and the installer checks for that. It says very clearly in RED that the install has been aborted if you attempt to install it on mysql 4.x.

Please reconfirm that the install ended with everyhting GREEN and a success message. Otherwise you have a non working installation that you should remove.

We are all trying to help. Obviously there is something wrong in your particular case that we have not been able to guess.

I'd be happy to look into your problem in person if you could give me access to your system. I am pretty sure this is a rather simple to diagnose problem. It is just impossible to do that blindly. Based on you responses, it might not be the install at all and it might have worked from the beginning - it could be as simple as an old FB mambot or plugin that is causing this.

Again we are here to help if you choose so. I believe you saw that we responded swiftly and other members tried to step in and help as well.

Nobody is stupid and this is not the old FB.

Our sencere appologies - we want to help.
