Question User subscriptions and forum performance
sozzled: maybe his "autosubscribe" feature is this? --> screencast.com/t/vsjo0pXlCiD

I will ask you again, what are you referring to? I do not know anything about any automatic subscription feature ("auto subscribe" as you called it) built into Kunena unless, perhaps, you are referring to a privately-developed extension called Auto Subscription for Kunena . Is this what you are talking about?ninjastar wrote: I've turned the auto subcription of in Kunena ...

Correction- It is not the Auto subscribe that you pointed me to. It's in the Kunena configuration menu under Users>subscriptions>Topic Subscriptions>Email every update

You may be right in concluding that your own experience suffers when you press the "Submit" button (in replying to a topic) is due to sending emails to all the people who are subscribed to that topic but I'm not 100% convinced about that.
There is a whole article on improving site performance that you may like to read: Improving Kunena performance .
In addition to the things you may be able to do to improve site performance, you could also examine how you've setup your Joomla menu (see Kunena Menu issues ) because, as you would know, when you press the "Submit" button your site has to route the browser somewhere and the target of where to go back to is determined by how you've put your Joomla site menu together. So there's something you can look at there, too.
You're using K 3.0.3; that's your choice to use outdated software just as it was your choice to edit/remove certain information from your configuration report against our recommendations. That's another thing you might want to look at.
You're using a third-party Kunena template that we have no knowledge of. You may want to discuss your performance problems with the author of that software.

I've never heard of that. I just activated the black lists 2 weeks ago. This issue has been happening since January.
