As many have already found out the upgrade from 1.7.2 [strike]or 1.7.3[/strike] to 2.0.3 does NOT work.
If you do the upgrade 1.7.2 to 2.0.1 it DOES work, then you can update to 2.0.3
I hope this saves a few from the disaster I went through yesterday.

I can confirm this issue.
All topics are unapproved / access denied even for admins and the date is 42 years in the past.
If you approve the topics manually the messages are fixed and even the creation date is correct.
It does not seems to be a database isssue. At least not with the messages table.

Confirm, upgrade to 2.0.3 is a disaster.

FAILURE
Attempt to upgrade from kunena 1.7.2 to 2.0.1 caused access rights problem to all categories. By default now joomla.level is selected and access is settled to 1 or 2 as unrecognized authorization method. Could not be changed. Upgrade to 2.0.3 did not fix the problem.
I gueass this is because of the latest core or jomsocial installed.
