Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

@sozzled you mean that it is better to turn off theese futures? My template has an option to use or not use theese. You suggest to turn them off? Sorry but my english are poor....

Please read, very carefully, the advice we have written in msg #1 of this topic.

Charl Laas: If you want to use any search features in Kunena, please attend to the collation attributes of your Joomla database tables (the items listed in red in your configuration report). Thank you.

Ok, for those who have endured and read through all the post to get to this point, I have a solution for some of the problems.

Preview doesn't work
If your Preview doesn't work you need to enable your SEO. Go to your site's Global configuration and enable (J2.5) 'Search Engine friendly URL's' and 'Use URL rewriting' (remember to rename your htaccess.txt file to .htaccess, if your sites running on a Apache server).

This seems to be a KUNENA bug which will hopefully be fixed.

Can't attach a file / ADD file button broken link

I had this problem using a Yootheme template. To fix it

Open up components/com_kunena/template/blue_eagle/html/topic/edit.php and then look for ;

<input id="kupload" class="kfile-input hidden" name="kattachment" type="file" />

and change to ,

<input id="kupload" class="kfile-input" name="kattachment" type="file" />

(on my editor this was line 132)

Credit to Mustaq from Yootheme for the fix.

Again this seems to be a KUNENA bug which hopefully the guys at KUNENA will fix
