Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Topics that are moved into this category are generally considered to be closed. Users may want to add additional information but these topics should not be resurrected in order to discuss new problems or unrelated matters.

Uninstalled, cleared cache. still no go. 500 error on the forum Configuration page.

Band-aid solution used: involved disabling login form on Kunena pages.
Backend issue remains (unable to use Forum Configuration GUI) - possibly this is related to Community Builder; we cannot say for certain.
Importantly, end users are now able to interact with the forum on the website.

And I can sleep well tonight!
I think I will uninstall CB, as we discussed the data is not lost in this uninstall. Once removed I'll see if I can get to the Forum Control on the back end, set the integration settings correctly and reinstall CB. Making frequent backups along the way...

Update:
Finding that setting the "integration_login" to anything other than None crashes the site.
No progress on getting the Forum Configuration page to load. I still suspect there is some issue between the sessions and CB.

Most likely there is still that fall-out from the abortive J! 1.6 installation to deal with, too.
