The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. I assume that as the administrator of an intranet website that you have sufficient webmaster skills to support Joomla in your environment. We cannot directly assist you under these conditions. However, if it is possible for you to make a copy of your intranet site and place it on the internet (where we can see it) then we may be able to help you better.

This is my assessment of the problem.

(1) Joomla 1.5.22 (or J! 1.5.23 - I don't know what version is installed at this time) was corrupted.

(2) K 1.6.4 has now become corrupted.

(3) We do not know the cause of the corruption. It could be the Joomla files or the database.

(4) We have suggested a range of options but this case largely falls into the same category as Support for PC-hosted websites (e.g. WAMP, XAMPP)

(5) I have discussed this matter with the project team and with my fellow forum moderators and we are unsure how we can help you further than the advice we have already given you.

(6) xillibit's answer was a good answer except that you did not understand it. He suggested that you extract the Joomla source files that are kept in ../components/com_users from the J! 1.5.22 installation kit and copy them to your site. I suggested that you upgrade to J! 1.5.23 and then, if necessary, I was going to suggest that you copy the Joomla source files from the J! 1.5.23 installation kit. You encountered problems during the upgrade from J! 1.5.22 -> J 1.5.23. We do not know now what the state of your site.

I think this is about as far as we can go with this problem. We have an unknown site, probably corrupted, with missing files and a doubtful database. Is there a backup of the site when it worked? If there is, now is the time you should be using it.

I suggest you look at xillibit's answer earlier in this topic: e suggested that you extract the Joomla source files that are kept in ../components/com_users from the J! 1.5.22 installation kit and copy them to your site. Another possibility might be to restore your configuration options to their default values. I hope this helps.
