fxstein: Howard tells me that he's been running an ancient version of Docman (designed for J! 1.0). He informed me that he was going to upgrade this weekend and then he was going to disable the legacy mode plugin.

Thanks for all the recommendations and comments. I've been quite busy with business over the weekend but will now move forward with these changes.
I'll upgrade to 1.6.1 asap and try the Kunena login module. Does it work with AEC? This is extremely important on my site. I will let you know what happens as soon as I have more data to report.
Sincerely,
Howard

The best way to find out if Kunena cooperates with other components, like AEC (which I know nothing about), is to experiment on a test site. This is always the recommended approach whenever you are experimenting with new software.

Sozzled, Kunena has been working wonderfully with AEC for a very long time and there is no indication that anything has changed with this.
My only question is with the Kunena login module. I'm not seeing it. Is it installed separately from the Kunena 1.6.1 installation package? Please advise. Does it replace the other login modules of Joomla and CB? Does it have essentially the same features?
Sincerely,
Howard
