Kunena 1.6 requires full Mootools 1.2 functionality.

Hmmm, mine just have 'System - Mootools Upgrade' and doesn't have any 'System - Mootools12' as your screenshot shows. Do I have to have this 'System - Mootools12'? If so, where can I find it to install?

This is a question that is probably best asked on the Joomla forum B)

I don't know why you don't have it, or why I have it. Maybe I have it because my test site was originally J! 1.5.18 before I upgraded to J! 1.5.20

I don't know if this is 100% on topic, but it may help someone.

I landed in this thread after my BBCode menu wouldn't display. I started disabling plugins to see if there was a conflict.

Turned out the culprit was my NinjaForge Shadowbox plugin. After I disabled it, my BBCode menu finally worked.

I was disappointed that I had to disable it for use with the forums, until I discovered that I didn't need it because K1.6 apparently comes with its own lightbox now.

Don't I feel silly.

That's all right, moonstone. I make enough silly mistakes myself.

As we have often said - repeatedly said - the main reason that BBcode functions in Kunena don't work is because of another product's Javascript library. While every attempt has been made (and will be made) by the development team to eradicate Kunena as the cause of these Javascript conflicts it's just not completely possible to outsmart all those other culprits.

I'm glad you found the cause and I'm pleased that Mootools wasn't the reason.

For others who doubt the purpose, desirability or the need for Mootools, I hope they will learn from moonstone's experience.

Sozzled, talking about Mootools, if I disability 'Mootools Upgrade' what can be prejudicial for Kunena? I got the big Photoslider on the home page of BemDoado and if I turn ON the 'Mootools Upgrade' the PhotoSlider doesn't work with Internt Explorer 8, but if Mootools upgrade is OFF, it runs ok.

So, I wonder what damages can be caused into Kunena with that disabled.
