Kunena often displays very large amount of users online. We have 60 registered users, but Kunena can show, for example, 129 registered users online. I attach screenshot.

Thank you for your report, nitisara. As you will see from this topic and from the topic "Show Who is Online" (Stats) shows a strangely HIGH number of users... this is not new. I hope the information that I have pointed you to will help.

Replied by rain on topic "Who is online" count is wrong
In my kunena site, who is online section shows me now have more than 3700 guests. But when I checked google analytics, I have only little bit more than 500 page views, hit sniffer shows the same results as google analytics, why is that ? why kunena shows lot of and google analytics shows less ?

The site is using v1.6.2, and only went live about an hour ago ( www.hurtbylove.com )

What is the difference between the 2 sets of statistics? I know that I was on the forum as a guest at the time, while I was on the phone to the Site Admin (my client). Where would the other 20 guests be?

Thanks.

The total count of total users in the Kunena statistics is 301 while my total registered users om my site is 310.

What is causing this?

mathialoc: there have been several improvements made in K 1.6.4 (soon to be released) that will probably address your question. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

I have a problem with the who is online section. It says i have 1965 users online and 17 members and i only currently have 7 members. I don't know how to reset these figures.

I have attached a screenshot so you can see what i mean, any help will be greatly appreciated. Also below is the configuration report!

Kind Regards

Andrew Kennedy

Known problem with Joomla. I believe some improvement has been achieved in K 1.6.4 but I cannot say if the issue has been totally resolved. The development team is aware of the problems but, ultimately, the issue is caused by Joomla.
