Ok, I found the solution. I just enabled the Kunena SEO (Search Engine Friendly URLs) to "YES" and that worked for me.

I had the Kunena working - I installed CB and integrated it, so it creates categories when a user logs on for a particular group and the form posts appear in the users profile..
now when a user logs on the forum is display with the index, recent topics, new topics... tabs along the top.
I feel dumb but I can't find what disable or enables the tabs?

- ok fixed it - I actually serached the Forum and found a set of command to restore it.
which are reproduce below for others:

How do I restore my Kunena menu?[2]

The Kunena menu is a set of tabs that appears across the top of the forum pages. In some cases, this menu does not appear for a variety of causes.

A simple remedy for the problem is to use the trash-burn-build technique:

Trash all existing menus and menu items that relate to your Kunena forum
Ensure that you do not have a folder named /forum on your site.
Empty the menu trash.
Use the Create Menu feature in the Kunena control panel to restore your Kunena menu.
Make sure that you publish a link in your menu that calls the Kunena forum.
Ensure that you have published a menu module for the kunenamenu template position.

I have successfully installed and configured 1.7.1 Kunena Forum but when clicking on a topic link on the forum I receive an error 404 - component not found.

It seems to be linked to the SEO settings. If you disable
all SEO function in Joomla, then Kunena is working flawlessly. However,
as soon as any SEO function are enabled, the links to the actual
forum categories are not working anymore. In the auto-generated links
there seems to be a /index/ missing.

I have tried about every possible SEO settings combination, both in Joomla and in combination with the SEO options in the Kunena configuration, but none is giving a working situation, except when I disable SEO from Joomla itself. It should work, also according to the Kunena documentation
docs.kunena.org/index.php/Search_engine_optimization_%28SEO%29
but it does not...

I have also checked on the Kunena Support Forums but there are no
similar issues reported.

Can anyone help????

just upload it in the back in the install ?? will it fix this error? there is no extension of module for the menu so it must be included in 1.7.2?
