I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you want to happen. Can you explain what you mean by wanting the forum "opened", please?

Sozzled I just thought about how horrible it must be for you as a native speaker to read such post.
Maybe I am quite good in understanding this cause English isn't my mothertoung, too.

I understood that he has a link and it points to the recent topic site. The site he want to be linked is the index site.
Solution:
Just change the aim of the link.

Thanks for the help, haithun. Any help is appreciated! :)

If the user wants a different view opened, when he clicks his link to the forum on his site, he should change the forum entrypage menu item. There's a parameter setting that instructs Kunena to open in a different-from-the-default view. These details are presented (in a limited way) in Change start page from recent topics to index in 1.6 ... or maybe that's not the issue at all ... ?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I (and visitors) can start automatically on the board index? It now starts every time default on the 'Recent Topics' page.

Thanks!

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

BTW... the link is incorrect try : http:// docs.kunena.org/index.php/Customised_menus ... ( remove the space between the // and the d )

it might help more than the other. :)

EDIT:

Changing Default Landing Page in Kunena
Kunena allows you to change default landing page in your menu. This allows you to have control on what people will see when they enter to the forum.
Go to Menu Item Manager (for Joomla not Kunena) : Menus >> Kunena Menu
Edit Forum ( Menu Item )
Change Type: Kunena Forum / Entry Page
Parameters (Basic) >> Default Menu Item: Kunena Menu - Top >> Forum >> Profile (or anything else under the same menu)

Under Change Type you will see the following list under Kunena Forum

Entry Page
Help
Recent Topics
Index
New Topic
Profile
Rules
Search
Category

Replied by craig on topic How to set "Index" as default
I tried searching the forums but the search function on the Kunena forums is not currently working, it just produces a blank page.

I have been trying to figure out how to set the "index" tab as the default tab in my forums. I just installed the forums today and it displays "Recent Topics" as the default.

I don't see where to change this anywhere in the configurations. Is there some way to do this?

Hello,

The documentation part works : docs.kunena.org/index.php/Main_Page

You have two docs which can be useful for you : docs.kunena.org/index.php/Customised_menus and docs.kunena.org/index.php/Troubleshooting_Kunena_Menu

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.
