Hi @sozzled

More than 30 hours looking for solutions to the problem that I have.
I have read all the posts that you sent me in a previous post, but I found a solution.

Now I wonder, is there a possibility that I hardcoded script tag in my joomla template?

If this possibility exists that it works?

I've already tried to change the index.php file from my joomla template, but something or someone to erase that line of code (joomla core, library, ...), when accessing from browser. If I knew who or what erase the line, I could comment on this piece of code, but unfortunately I do not know.

If you can help me in this direction.

Thanks.

One of the suggestions that I made several times - several dozen times, I wonder? - early in this topic was this: if you suspect a problem with another Joomla extension, please contact the developer of that Joomla extension. I mean, you paid for the extension, right? It makes sense that you should be asking them (not us) whether their product is compatible with Mootools 1.2.4. If their product is not compatible with Mootools 1.2.4 ask them what they are doing about it and make your decision accordingly.

Those other developers who want to remain in business will listen to their customers and respond. You will soon discover who is responsive to their customers' requests when people refuse to buy their products.

For "our" part (I'm speaking now as a forum moderator at www.kunena.org ) we want people to feel comfortable knowing that Kunena is keeping faith with Joomla and the future direction of Joomla. The Kunena project relies on the secure knowledge of what lies along the Joomla strategic path. This project involves key Joomla specialists who are deeply into planning and building the Joomla core. Therefore it should not really come as any surprise that if Kunena utilises Joomla core software and other extensions do not utilise Joomla core software, where your questions really need to be directed.

As a user (not as a forum moderator) I want to know that my time spent in planning and building websites - my investment - was not wasted. I want to know that my investment has "a future".

I realise that this might seem "off-topic" to some people but, in effect, this is entirely what this topic is all about:

The technical requirements of Kunena 1.6 are contained in K 1.6 Technical Requirements . You need Mootools 1.2.4 to run K 1.6. You need a Mootools 1.2 compliant template to run K 1.6. You cannot run Kunena 1.6 if you have other Joomla extensions that modify (or disable) Mootools 1.2.4 behaviour.

Gavick (template) problems? Talk to Gavick .

Thank you men.

Do not be angry ;)

I watch all this as a developer, not as a user. Currently I am in a position to Customer, but also I am developing.

Somehow it seems to me that you wanted to relieve himself so you've swapped jQuery with MooTools, but the number of posts regarding the problems of MooTools, maybe it was not a good step. But you do not have decided on this step by accident. Time will tell.

When I find a solution, but I'll find it with God's help, I'll tell you.

I just noticed after a fresh Kunena install that user profiles including my admin account are shown, but they can't be edited. All links except the save and cancel link on the edit form are inactive.
This happens with Joomla 1.5.22 and Kunena 1.6.3 and also 1.6.2.

I tested it also with fresh Joomla install from my c-panel which uses Joomla 1.5.20. and Kunena 1.6.3. This combination works correctly. Uploading avatars is possible and all editing links are active.

Try going to your plugins in joomla backend and make sure "System - Mootools Upgrade" is turned on.

Thanks - I got the BBCode, Add File working by enabling the System - Mootools Upgrade plugin.

Are there any obvious drawbacks, conflicts or limitations in having this enabled?

Thanks,
Geoff
