810: It seemed like one table (kunena_user_categories?) was missing.

Another couple of hours and I think I've done it.
OK, so here is the instruction how to upgrade Kunena 1.5.13 (Joomla 1.5.26) to Kunena 3.0.6 (Joomla 3.3.6) for others:

Two websites - Joomla 1.5.26 (old one) and Joomla 3.3.6 (new one)

0. Make BACKUPS!!!

1. Upgrading Kunena 1.5.13 -> Kunena 1.6.5 (Joomla 1.5.26)
2. Upgrading Kunena 1.6.5 -> Kunena 1.7.2 (Joomla 1.5.26)
3. Upgrading Kunena 1.7.2 -> Kunena 2.0.4 (Joomla 1.5.26)

4. Installing Kunena 3.0.6 (Joomla 3.3.6)

5. Renaming all the prefixes of the 1st database (Joomla 1.5.26) to be the same as the prefixes withing the second database (Joomla 3.3.6) - phpMyAdmin function

6. Exporting all Kunena 2.0.4 tables (Joomla 1.5.26, first database). There were 23 of them. The names (structure) should be the same as in Kunena 3.0.6.

7. Deleting all Kunena 3.0.6 tables (Joomla 3.3.6, second database, 23 tables).

8. Importing all 23 tables of Kunena 2.0.4 (first database) into the Kunena 3.0.6 (second database).

9. Copy Media/Kunena/Attachments folder from the old Kunena to the new one.

I think that's it. At least it works so far. Hope it helps others, too.

Now I need to find some DARK templates for my forum (do you know where I could find some?)

810 + sozzled, thank you for your help.
