Many thanks for all the submissions. We are considering making a pre-alpha version of Kunena 1.6 available to template developers, so they can adjust their templates to 1.6. A lot of html and css cleanup went into 1.6 so all the templates will require a few tweaks, but because of the cleanup, that should be easier than before.

We will be sharing more news in the next week.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

I will just add it would be nice for Kunena to be packaged with one light and one dark theme as standard :)

Yes, I think when most of code will be separated from style of template, changing color themes will be very simply and still working after upgrade. Then Kunena team easily can do upgrade of template saving changed styles. Right?

Second AND VERY VERY IMPORTANT question for me about template is:

Do Kunena 1.6 still will be use tables instead of li/div etc. structure?

If YES.. tell my WHY?? I understand that fireboard do this from years and it was not updated to this day, because of a lot important work that kunena was done under the hood. But I think this is a real time to changing visual aspect of kunena. But in my opinion without table free hierarchy it will be much harder than it should be. Or am I wrong?
