Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question [Merged topic] Re-ordering/resequencing categories
Thanks for your link, I'll be checking it out in a little bit. I'm not "live" yet either, but I'm hoping to go "live" by the end of February... hopefully with Kunena fully-functioning!
(Your website seems like a great idea btw -- don't know if you've heard of commuterconnections.org, but it's what my college suggests we use. If you haven't already, I'd suggest trying to get the support of most of the colleges in the US as it would be a great traffic-booster if colleges supported and marketed your site.)
Sozzled,
Thanks for the update. I do have another question however. Somehow, my forums reorganized themselves correctly on the back-end (Don't as me how. It just happened out of nowhere!).
Problem is, the front-end doesn't reflect the back-end now! Is this part of the design flaw? If not, am I royally screwed (pardon my language) since the front-end doesn't even match the back-end now?
Thanks again,
Christina

Personally, I would like to tackle the problem quite differently. I would like to see an option created for the category view - that is, after all, what we are discussing - that displays forums/sub-forums alphabetically by title (messages will appear "newest post first", of course). This would eliminate the need to spend time shuffling forums around in the backend. Unfortunately, such an option as I have described does not yet exist in Kunena.

Sozzled,
I was also going to re-emphasize that this is an issue with my site also. In fact, this was where I started my postings here, by stating that my front-end does not match my back-end (hmmm...sounds rather personal if you ask me! LOL!!)
So, there are two issues here:
1. Front-end display does not reflect what is set up in the back-end.
2. Adding or deleting a forum re-shuffles the entire structure of existing forums.
My un-educated guess is that these two issues are somehow connected together.

As Admin, I am setting up topics for now. I am doing a 40-day series daily. I want the one for each day to default to the top but it goes to the bottom. I use the arrow to scroll it up. It's beginning to become tedious (day 10).
Is there anyway for a new topic that I create in that Category to default to the top - date order? It's going to be quite a chore around day 20, using the up arrow.
Thanks for your help. I am a novice and very proud of what I've done w/Kunena. That's a woot woot to the developers for making it a user-friendly component.
Regards,
Jhazzi
