Where do I find User Administration? I can only find User Manager and I can't do what is needed from there.

At top of your administration page you see the menu tabs one say COMPONENTS select that and from the drop down list select KUNENA, you are now in kunenas administration section and you will see a row of buttons abit like the joomla one now from them select USER ADMINISTRATION ( its the 3rd one along ). :)

If your still stuck see image below :)

sozzled: you so over complicated that for a new user :)

Perfect, thank you.

Can you remove mods names from the front page of the forum?

You cannot assign a user to be a moderator by giving them the rank of moderator. You need to change the setting Is Moderator = Yes.

The question of assigning users as moderators is also linked to the issue of moderated categories . Although it's possible to assign a user to "moderate" a specific category, or categories, they don't actually have moderator rights unless the categories are defined as Moderated = Yes.

To remove a moderator's name from the list on the bottom of the page, you assign them as "global moderators". For example, I am a global moderator here at www.kunena.com . Do you see my name listed at the bottom of any pages here?

I hope I didn't over-complicate my explanation of a complex issue. There are a couple of areas in Kunena that are not intuitively obvious to new users. This is one of them.

What we need is an article in the Wiki for future reference.

Sozzled should get an award for the most impossible to understand forum posts. I'm off for painkillers.

Mick: Did you figure out how to assign a moderator? Perhaps you could explain the process to me, in simple terms, and then I can use your words in future. :)
