Question Unread posts does not work in listcat view

Hi there,

am I alone with this problem, or is anyone else also affected.
When I am viewing my forum in the listcat view, its shows a lot of categories with unread posts, although I have surely read them all.

Any advise would be most welcome.

I think you need to exercise some patience. This is obviously a DEV level issue. When a dev becomes available to assist you then they will help. This is not a 24 hour help desk you know.

thanks for the advise. I was only wondering, why nobody else at least stated to have the same problem. I think that I am not the only person to combine Joomla 1.0.15, CB1.2.1 and KN1.0.10, so there must be a reason why obviously only I am facing this issue.

I understand that J! 1.0 is going to fade and I am planing to migrate my site to J! 1.5 in this summer. Anyway, as my site is quite big and complex, this will be a major and very time consuming step.

i am having the same problem but i am prepare the not so "elegant" fix.

it check for the new post , but this time, it will show "New Message Available" instead of the false alarm. hope you can enjoy

i attached the file and you can try it first before you deploy it

replace the original listcat.php with the attached one

components/com_kunena/template/default_ex/listcat.php

thank you VERY MUCH.
This solves my problem to a big extend.
Still the function "Marks all forums as read" does not work but I can live with that for the moment.
