Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.
The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.
Question Unread posts does not work in listcat view
I have upgraded to CB1.2.1 and Kunena 1.0.10 with Joomla 1.0.15.
When looking at the Category view of the forum, the forum shows many unread items, even I am sure that I have read them already.
I tried the function "Mark all as read" but not change.
Any advise would be most welcome.
Best regards
Michael

J! 1.0's javascript library is very different to J! 1.5's (even though J! 1.5 needs to be run in "legacy mode" in order to support Kunena). We have already seen other examples (see Couple issues after upgrade and Forum jump not working correctly ) where the only common determinant seems to be J! 1.0.x. There seems to be a lot of circumstantial evidence pointing to J! 1.0.x as the culprit, the cause behind many of these Javascript-related errors - too much to ignore, in my opinion.
While it's impossible to conclude, with certainty, that Joomla!1.0.x is incompatible with K 1.0.10, there seems to be some anecdotal basis for saying that it might be.
Have you considered the possibility of transporting your site to a J! 1.5.10 platform? J! 1.5.10 might solve this problem, your IE problem, your quick reply problem and many other problems you're currently having.

thanks for your advise. I am planing to update my site to J1.5 within a few month but if you had a look at it, you will understand that it will be a major job.
My site is huge and utilizes many components and modules.

As the ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu is reputed to have said, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."I am planning to update my site to J! 1.5 within a few months but ... you will understand that it will be a major job. My site is huge and utilizes many components and modules.
Although we do not have conclusive evidence that Joomla 1.0.15 is responsible for a number of functionality issues with Kunena 1.0.10, it's reasonable to conclude that the more components you add into the mix increases the complexity in managing your website.
There's saying we have in English: "KISS" - Keep It Sweet & Simple" (or "Keep It Simple, Stupid", if you prefer).
In the meantime, if your website was working with Kunena 1.0.9, you might have to revert to that version until you're ready to move ahead with Joomla 1.5. Be advised, though, there's little-to-no support available for J! 1.0. The longer you continue to use it, the longer you're on your own with the problems and restrictions it imposes. Make that "first step" ...
