Question Templating changes 1.0.9 > 1.0.10

Hi

I am running 1.0.9 with a lightly modified default_ex: profilebox switched to the left hand side of posts rather than the right hand side (using code provided by Lintzy, but I can't find the thread in question now), and several css changes.

Please could you give details of changes to templating in the move to 1.0.10 so that I can update the template to allow me to upgrade?

In default_ex almost every file has been changed and there are hundreds if not thousands of changed lines. So I recommend you to redo all your changes -- it's much less work.

Hmm.. Also css file has been changed radically: almost all css rules seem to be changed. So I recommend you to use some diff tool and look at differences between your template and Kunena 1.0.9. Then you can start filling your own changes into Kunena 1.0.10..

i hope 1.0.10 template changes will be final, as for the backward compatibility issues are concerned.

It will be not final, because it is planed to change to MVC what should make it more easy to create your own templates.

But with diffing your template with the new 1.0.10 default_ex it shouldn't be a problem to merge teh changes

Not really. Matias already suggested it would be better to re-do the templates from scratch as there were to0 many changes in the code.

but with diff tools you can better see where your and where the kunena changes are.

Diff the 1.0.9 default with 1.0.10 and then with your template.....
