Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Can you install any other component? This is a Joomla error, could be permission issue.

I can... but in the past if it's a new component, for some reason I have to change the permissions to 777 to get it working.
But normally in cases like this, it tells me right off that it cannot write to such and such a directory.
In the past, when I've had issues installing components, normally I get the folders or directories that Joomla was unable to write to at the time.

Just for the heck of it... I changed the permissions on the Components folder to 777.
Exactly same error. I changed the logging to Maximum and didn't see anything different in the install component admin section of Joomla.
