Hi Sozzled

Update

Disabled legacy plugin - same problem no change

Installed Kunena login properly - login OK - that is good & thanks

BUT - Can't get the Kunena login to show up on category pages
& how do I disable the standard Hello Guest Kunena login panel (that doesn't work)?

You mentioned that the K Menu Structure was non standard - can you offer some pointers as to what is wrong and how to fix it please?

Can you post your updated K 1.6 configuration report, please?

What pointers would you like about the menu that I have not given on dozens of occasions elsewhere in this forum ?

You know the answer to your problem, in this case, is to disable sh404SEF - at least as far as Kunena is concerned - or you need to contact the developers of sh404SEF and ask them what you need to do about the problem.

Hi Sozzled

Hope you are doing well

LOGIN Problem
So 2 things have happened

1. I have managed to loose the tabs that say my topic rules etc - no idea how I did that
2. I used forum configuration > integration > login & registration option ---- I toggled Joomla > None > Joomla and now the login works again within the Kunena hello guest box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps this isn't a SH404SEF issue after all?

MENUS
You said that my menus were non standard or wrong - I don't understand what is wrong so I don't know what I am looking for to fix - so please tell me what is wrong and point me at the relevant info on how to fix it. I would like to have a menu that allows me to access the site forum (showing all categories) and also to have items on standard Joomla menus that point at specific categories.

This is a Joomla menu-related problem. My suggestion is to remove all menus that relate to Kunena and rebuild them again using the guide Customised Menus in the Wiki. What you need to do first is to use the trash-burn-build technique that will restore your menu tabs and fix your other problems, too.

It's possible this was a caching problem. You are using J! 1.5.23. There's a defect in J! 1.5.23 that affects browser page caching. See Problem with Recent Topics Tab; not refreshing for the fix

Good suggestion but, as you see, we can give you a lot more help if you just post the information without us having to ask for it. ;)
