Question Avatar/Profile/Edit not working

I've tried with the three Crypsis templates and another called Aquidah_ku - i can see the profile area, in various mismatched styles, the profile avatar/ edit, the log in and out,  are either absent or styled wrong.

If I log in to the Joomla side, I'm logged into the forum but none of the avatar/profile edit works. Is all of the logging in and out done via Joomla? and if so, I've probably not got the configuration in Kunena right, to make the avatar/profile/edit stuff work properly.

it looks like you are using the Helix Ultimate template in Joomla.
And it has the annoying property of not working on action buttons.
(See if necessary this topic is for the test version kunena version 6 but possibly also for 5.2.8

So try with the standard joomla template Beesz or Protostar first to see if it works.

the attachment's screenshots there what went wrong is not visible.

Thanks, I renamed the file and the buttons started to - half - work, in that I got a pop up window on clicking the avatar but still cannot edit the avatar..
I'll try and post a before image and an after image, below.

Whoa!
So I renamed the     bootstrap dot bundle dot min dot js

And step by step, this what I got

 

Click on Profile Button

 

Click on Edit Button

 

Click on Avatar Image link, at right

 

There's nothing to see/do - So I just dragged an image, from my desktop, to the window and saved, the blank window.
Then I clicked  Profile

 

And I have a new avatar !  Very Good.

Please note, the broken style, of the small avatar and two down arrows,  next to/under the search button.

you are using the kunena Aqidah_ku template ?
is it also if you use Crypsis or Crypsis3 ?

yes it is really difficult to solve this with template helix.
and the Aqidah_Ku_Free_Kunena_Template.zip doesn't work for me either.
with cypris I succeed if I put the old bootstrap.min.js from earlier helix ulimate back in the folder
\templates\shaper_helixultimate\js\
but with cypers I have to turn off the settings tab advanced Loading of the Bootstrap css
I zipped up that old bootstrap.min.js so that I can post it here as an attachment so you can try it out.

Unfortunately, no - that doesn't work for me.
I guess I will have to use the Aqidah-Ku for the formatting and walk the users through, changing the avatars/profile.
It's a shame that Crypsis and Helix Ultimate don't play well.
As my site is a non commercial, no money, site, I can tell the users, to live with, back end inconvenience.
I'll see if I can contact, the Aqidah-Ku dev and I'll report back if I achieve anything.
