Question redirect after login

I`m kind of surprised that I didn `t find this in the search i did...

When a user logs in to the forum they are redirected to the index.php page.

How do I set it so that when you log into the forum you stay at the forum?

I found this old post at the fireboard forum

where they go into detail on how it`s done for the old fireboard - but I tried it and it didn `t work - got an 'array' problem.

I`m sure the logic works, I just don`t know how to update for the new system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

For starter you dont login to the forum but to joomla. Do your research from there.

Login and Logout are handled by Joomla (or some third party components) but not through the forum. Kunena only shows you a link to the login procedure setup for your Joomla install.

Depending on your setup, you will have to consult Joomla or the login providers documentation.

Kunena is just another component installed and as such can be made the target for any such redirects, just like the homepage.

No functionality in Kunena to support or prevent this.

This was actually semi-solved for fireboard using an edit to the profilebox.php file - on lines 190 & 193 you would simply replace '88889095' with the item id of your forum, and add a bit of css to your template (see below) - it worked great on fireboard but no longer works on kunena - I`m sure there is just a small adjustment which needs to be made to make it work in the new setup - I just can `t figure out what it is
