I am not sure, if you can see changing in php.info, because you change not the whole settings of your webspace, your changing only works with the script (joomla)

Die .htaccess muss in das Joomla Verzeichnis. Ob Veränderungen in der info.php sehen kannst, dürfte fraglich sein, da du ja nur bezogen auf das Joomla Verzeichnis Dinge änderst. Ich würde einfach ein wenig rum experimentieren: .htaccess ändern, kunena installieren.... und noch mal das Ganze mit php_flag. Wie du an meinen Links siehst, ist es manchmal durchaus möglich. Und gerade von allinkl.com weiß ich, dass die vieles mit Einträgen in .htaccess ermöglichen.

@ dazzafact: It's not SQL that is slow. It is unzip. Try to make backup from Joomla site with JoomlaPack. It takes 6-10 hours to pack 500Mt of files. Using zip from command line takes only a few minutes.

Tnx, i already ask them. No Support; they only allow to switch some thinks like the php version etc. in htaccess

Ive reduce the mysql.connect_timeout on my HomeServer to 30 and the Kunena-Board still works!
Why?? The Mysql-Version is 5.0.37
