Im sure this will become a moot point once 3rd party themes start becoming available. Ill probibly release the edited version of Crypsis I am using once I find the time to polish it more.

A couple of months ago I realize that the best option we have is:
Help the team to improve kunena even more (including Crypsis)

What I suggest:
Starting right now, be objective, create a topic for every bug/defect. 1Topic = 1Bug
if you found a defect/bug in crypsis, report it intermediately in the forum. 85% of bugs are solved intermediately

Perhaps ... :whistle:

The problem with this assumption, however, is that, with nearly all new releases of Kunena over the past three years:

a) new features have been added that have broken all third-party [i.e. Blue Eagle-based] themes;
b) the functionality of Kunena is not controlled solely by the template—it relies on other functionality built into the component—and when changes are made to the core software, these changes also affect third-party templates; third-party developers have to continually repair their products to make them compatible with the core. If minor releases of Kunena did not modify the core then third-party developers would not have those kinds of problems; this is one of the reasons why third-party developers have had difficulties in releasing their own versions based on Crypsis;
c) the two or three alternative third-party [i.e. Crypsis-based] themes that currently exist today were developed for K 4.0;
d) until K 5.0 stabilises, third-party developers will have to wait; this also means that alternatives to Crypsis will be a while off; and
e) there is no documentation for third-party developers to help them implement HMVC adding a further layer of disincentive to begin the task of constructing alternatives to Crypsis.

These are the challenges facing third-party developers. These are the impediments to overcoming the criticism that "Crypsis is too hard to read and navigate" and the premise that the present criticism will (one day) be moot after third-party developers lift their game. The biggest challenge facing third-party developers is, of course, whether they have reasonable prospects of recoving the return on their investment in developing such alternatives. You could be right but we'll just have to wait and see how things transpire, won't we? How long must people—including third-party developers—wait (and just how patient they will be) is a matter of conjecture, of course.

... and by the way, I cannot logout now (something was changed in the last hour or two). The option to logout is hidden below the bottom of the page and I can't see it or click anything.

Here are a few initial impressions and suggestions:

1) reduce the line-height overall
2) reduce the amount of wasted space in the site template ( e.g. move the top banner ad above the forum menu and reduce the padding and margins surrounding it)
3) reduce the line-height in the forum announcement: for example, when people go to the Recent Topics view, let them see the recent topics without all that extraneous interference; reduce the amount of scrolling down in order to see the actual topics themselves;
4) fix up the top menu so that the line breaks don't occur as they do when viewing the site on an iPad;
5) corrent the errors in the mobile-view menu (white font on a white background is not a good look);
6) restore the footer menu items for the terms of use and team pages (by the way, you lost the paragraph numbering on the terms of use page but I can help you get it back again, if you're interested).
