The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.1 [K 7.0.1] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question Home page not showing

Home page not showing was created by Velisa
I had the previous version installed and when I activated the Community Builder (latest version) integration, my home page would be blank after a short while (it would take a while to go blank).

I then decided to install V1.6 and I have the same problem. I am running Joomla! 1.5.20. The difference now is that as soon as I install Kunena, my home page is blank immediately. I tried to diable the kunenamenu module too as well as the Forum Integration plugin CB... still have a blank home page. I can go into my history and select any other page and it will load... its just the homepage that has a problem.

I have now unistalled Kunena so that my site can continue to run.

What would make my home page blank? I really like the component and want to use it... I just need to get over this hurdle.

Hi Velisa

I don't have the solution for your problem, but maybe I can give you a hint in the correct direction. If I was in your place, the first thing I would to is to enable Error Reporting in the Joomla Backend (Site -> Configuration -> Server -> Error Reporting: Maximum).

Now have a look at your homepage again, you should see some notices/warnings from PHP. Post them here and somebody might be able to help you further...

Thanks subtone but when I mean the home page is blank, I mean totally blank as in white. Even if I try enable error reporting, it won't even show any errors.

Hello,

Do you have looked into your php error log or into your apache error log ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I have asked my hosting company to turn this on for me. I don't currently have it turned on. I also tried the HotFix ( www.kunena.org/forum/12-community-builde...er-integration#62274 ) but this did not help.

Furthermore, I also updated Joomla! to 1.5.22. This is really frustrating and I really want this system to work as it is exactly what I want. What I really don't get is that it takes a few minutes to come right after uninstalling Kunena. When I had the 1.5 version it would take a few minutes before the trouble started and now with 1.6, as soon as I install it, the homepage bombs out.

I suspect that the website template in this case is completely incompatible with the Kunena component; alternatively, the website has some old, outdated module or plugin that was designed for a previous version of Kunena.

We're getting nowhere fast. It would speed up the resolution of this problem if we saw the user's K 1.6 configuration report.
